My TW friend is here!

Emily reached Singapore on Thurs! I met this TaiWan born girl online, while chatting about Takarazuka issues. Emily went to the States for her master degree and then worked in LA as a motion graphic designer. But due to certain personal reasons she plans to come back to Asia for work, that's why she contacted me and asked about wokring conditions here and as well she contacted a few design companies in Singapore. I have every seen her work, it's rather impressive to me. With my aesthetic point of view she is very sensitive to colours and patterns, a very talented young designer. I guess her work is much appriated by Singapore emloyers so 2 interviews were arranged for her.

I picked her up from terminal 3 yesterday and send her over to a hotel along Dickson Rd, then brought her out for dinner. My sense of direction has always been good and it's rare for me to lost ways. Yet, it's rather embarrassed that I lead a wrong way to bugis! Anyway, I don't wanna describe it in details just let you know that dinner we had is not that fantastic and ir's far behind my expections.

This morning I went to my new company for project interview as my boss is flying over China for presentation. I ought to have an overall view and idea of how the project goes. I got a CD from Arabella, my new coleague and a set of drawings. My good days of freedom have gone! = =

New Job!

Yeah~~~ I found a new job within 2 weeks! Thank God! ^ ^
As designer in an interior firm. Good start ha if I wanna train in design skills. start work next Monday!
But I was given chance to choose 2 positions ( actually 3), project designer or styling designer. Gonna think over it.

My trip~~~

It was a great experience traveling around. It is late now, 3 34am , so I simply post a few pics. Getting tired...

It is nice to see the world, then you would realise how tiny we are as compare to the universe. I like the feeling of carrying my backpack walking around, perspiring , feeling exhausted. It's hard for some people to understand that why not just go tours. It's not only the financial issue, though it's an important issue; the key thing is by backpack, you will be having a wider exposure to local culture, to the native people. Instead of spending a night at hotel, whichI think hotels over the world are pretty much the same; living in a local style inn would have more fun.
Where will be my next stop? Australia? That sounds cool. I gonna spend a few years over there, guess I will have plenty of time to explore the beauty of Aussie!
So lionel, Ivo, Vir, Jace, of course Jason&Sally, do not surprise that I suddenly pop out to bet for a place to stay! LOL

About 2 months ago alot of my friends are watching this Fuji Tv drama call Last friends. I knew this show through Utada Hikaru's new song, prisoner of love. It is the theme song of this show. After then I didn't really follow the show although my friends are discussign this show on their blogs.

My hope of find my stuff is getting less. How do you expect yourself to find 4 pieces of paper from 10 of thousands papers!!!! Actually from beginning I should know while my certs are over at his place, I will never expect to find them.
What to do? I am just freaking pissed off somehow.
Such important documents....... I should store my stuff properly next that NO ONE could bring them else where. Cos no one is going to take care of your stuff while you are not!
Lesson learn.
I should rely on no body and it's time to get myself organized.

I am back.

Sorry to all my friends.... I was away for such a long time and didn't really update regularly as what I have promised. James has left for one month plus, while traveling I could not feel his absence. But at the point when I step out of plane, I suddenly realised I gonna go back home alone. No one is waiting for me at the arrival hall, no one has prepared everything to welcome my return.
Therefore, time to re-organise all my emotions and to move on. first of all, get myself organised. A schedule is needed especially for people like me, I have to make logical plans and make effort to do it accordingly. (that is the hard part, to do it accordingly)
Shall pen off now, gonna meet Jr for dinner soon. Will try my best to update daily.

I love sunny days!

Yeah, finally Jace is back from Perth. Guess biggest change in my life after she left for Aussie is I have no one to accompany me for sun tanning. (= =) So the first thing I asked after our frist met up was : " girl wanna go sentosa or not? very long never sun tan already..."
And Yeahhhhhhh~~~~ we are going!

We planned to meet up early in the morning let say 9am for breakfast. Actually personlly I enjoyed meeting friends early in the morning. Though I am not a morning person but my body tells me that I like morning time the most. The fresh cooling air seems to be able to reach my inner body that allows my cells to breathe.

However, my laziness fails me all the time. This time also no exceptional. I received a sms from Jace on friday night suggenting the meet up time can be as early as 830am, I happily promised her I will be there. The next day morning about 8 plus while I am still on bed, Jace texted me. She will be late. So in the end when we finally settle ourselves on the beach bench is already 1030 am. ~_^



We just reached Sentosa.

Accident

Yesterday after my church service I went to a friend's new born boy's 1 month shower party with James. This friend is actually James' coleague who just gave birth to a cute small baby boy. Her house is pretty far from my church. So we have to take train to Clementi station and take a cab over. Met up with Joseph at Clementi station and we hired a cab to her place. Not more than 3 min after we board the cab, the driver made a left-turn to a two lane road. I was listening to my mp3 then, suddenly I heard a "bang" sound and feel like something was knocked on the side door. 4 of us were all shocked wondering where the sound came from. I turn back and saw a motorcyclist was lying on the ground. The driver stopped the car and went to check the condition of the cyclist. The cyclist didn’t seems to be seriously injured, at least there is no wound can be seen. He appeared to be very angry and threw his helmet on the ground. I am not very sure whose fault is that as it happened too sudden. But the cab driver was driving on the inner lane where the motor cyclist was driving on the outer one. I just hope no one is hurt and the issue can be nicely settled.

PS, JR, WT , SL and me, we met at AMK hub on which day i forgot already to celebrate my birthday. haha, that was almost 1 month ago...... = = !! what? already one month???? goodness time really FLIES!! How scary!
We are no longer kids, we have gradated from college and started to work like our parents. We are working adults now!!! ButI don't know why at times I still regard myself as a little girl. Ok fine, I am not acting cute here and I REALLY hate people who ACT as someone they are not. How disgusting of wearing a mask and fake your identity and fool around! Yirk~~~~ back to topic, i ust feel like I am still as energetic as a 16 year old. I hope when I reach the age of 70I still can proudly should out " I am cool, I am fun. I am the coolest grandma! " haha

A post late by 3days

First of all ,many thanks to all my friends for giving such a memorable birthday. Thanks to JR for the beautiful designer dress,a nice black dress designed by Keith, a popular Singapore Fashion Designer. Thanks to LH and Iv for sending me nice flowers to my house. I was really shocked when I open the door and saw the delivery man standing there.Thanks to WT, PS,and ShuShu for celebrated my birthday with me on Wednesday. Thanks to Elsa for choosing a nice handbag for me . Etc....

let's show our compassion

My condolence to all the families who had to go through this tragic. 向死难者沉痛哀悼。

A real story I read in a Chinese media website, a touching story I'd like to share with all of you.

A mum died, with her 3 months's baby under her body, and she left words on the mobile phone...

She has died when the rescuer found her. She was overwhelmed by crushed house. Through gaps of those ruins, we can see her last posture. Being on her knees, the upper part of the body was prostrate forward, with her hands on the ground to support body. That was something like an acient who was kowtowing, just looked eerie because she was out of shape by pressure.

The rescuers confirmed her death by touching her through the gaps of ruins. They shouted at the ruins again and again, knocked the bricks using the crowbar, but no response inside.

Then the rescuing team went to next building, suddenly the leader ran back, calling "come here". He came to the body, stretched his hands under the woman, feeling and touching, then shouted loudly "there is someone, a baby, still living".

Through some efforts, rescuers cleaned up the ruins carefully which blocked her. Under her body, lied her baby, who was wrapped in a small red quilt with yellow flowers scattered in red. He is about 3 or 4 months' old. Since well protected by mother's body, he is totally safe. He was sleeping on both ears when the rescuer carried him out, and his lovely and peaceful face warmed everyone around him. The doctor along with the rescuing team unfastened the quilt to check if the baby is all right, and he found there was a moible phone filled in the quilt. The doctor looked at the screen subliminally, a written message was already there: "my dear baby, if you coulde live, don't forget how much I love you". As a doctor, he experienced too much of parting for ever; but at this moment, he wept. The mobile was passed, every person who saw this message sheded tears.


I have not being deeply touched for a long time. This time, the tragedy, shows me the unity of all Chinese people. The kindness of human nature.
